Jim Pittas officially takes PMMI reins effective February 1

Pittas succeeds Chuck Yuska who is retiring after 27 years leading the PMMI.

RESTON, Va.—PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has announced that Jim Pittas will assume the role of president and chief executive officer of PMMI effective February 1, 2018, succeeding Chuck Yuska, who is retiring after 27 years at the helm.

“I can’t say enough about the leadership blueprint working alongside Chuck provided me over the past 18 years,” Pittas says. “It is impossible to measure what he has meant to PMMI, but I strive to build upon that legacy.”

Yuska will remain at PMMI in an advisory role through his official retirement in May.

PMMI plans to celebrate him with a retirement party in March and will recognize his contributions at the association’s Executive Leadership Conference held April 28–May 1, 2018 in Orlando.

Pittas became chief operating officer in April 2017 after 17 years successfully managing PMMI’s number one member service, the PACK EXPO trade shows.

Pittas will remain in PMMI’s Reston, Virginia headquarters.
